Developed in the village of Bravo, this residency focused on observing the daily life of the women who sustain this territory. They work in the fields under the sun, care for home and family, live in a place marked by isolation and slow rhythm. Silence is structural.
During weeks of immersion in the daily life of these women, a video installation and a series of mixed media portraits were created to translate the repetition of routines, the weight of labor, the continuity despite everything. The work was exhibited first in Sertã and then at the Casa do Povo in the village, during a celebration with the local philharmonic band.
The project was developed within the framework of the Literary Festival “Maratona de Leitura”, in partnership with the Municipality of Sertã.

Desenvolvida na aldeia do Bravo, esta residência centrou-se na observação do quotidiano das mulheres que sustentam este território. Trabalham no campo sob o sol, cuidam da casa e da família, vivem num lugar marcado pelo isolamento e pelo ritmo lento. O silêncio é estrutural.
Durante semanas de imersão no quotidiano destas mulheres, foram criadas uma instalação vídeo e uma série de retratos em técnica mista que traduzem a repetição das rotinas, o peso do trabalho, a continuidade apesar de tudo. A obra foi apresentada primeiro na Sertã e depois na Casa do Povo da aldeia, durante uma celebração com a banda filarmónica local.
O projeto foi desenvolvido no âmbito do Festival Literário “Maratona de Leitura”, em parceria com o Município da Sertã.
