Deconstructing the Visual Self
Developed to bridge psychological support and artistic expression, these collage workshops created a vital space for dialogue within the prison system. Designed as a rupture from the daily carceral routine, the sessions transformed creative practice into a medium for self-reflection and personal agency. Facilitated alongside a clinical team, each session fostered a secure environment for meaningful interaction, empowering participants to reconstruct their identity through a shared visual language.
Transformar a colagem numa ferramenta de diálogo e reflexão dentro do sistema prisional. Concebidas como uma rutura na rigidez da rotina carcerária, as sessões convertem a prática criativa num espaço de autoconhecimento e agência pessoal. Em colaboração direta com uma equipa de psicologia clínica, o projeto fomenta um território seguro onde a comunicação visual permite reconstruir identidades e fortalecer laços coletivos através da montagem de imagens.
