Immersive Community Research Inspiring Art

From March to June 2024, I participated in an Art Residency in Penina, Benafim, Loulé. I focused on close, research-based engagement with the local community. By observing daily routines, listening to personal stories, and documenting traditions through photography and video, I explored the evolving realities of village life. This immersive research informed the creation of a street exhibition, which opened on June 22nd during the summer festivities, translating collective experiences and shared narratives into tangible artworks.

This residency was part of the cultural programs of the Loulé Municipal Galleries and the Algarvensis Geopark.
