Collage as a tool for Collective Expression: Bairro Padre Cruz, Lisboa
This project was a collage session with young residents of Bairro Padre Cruz, Lisbon, designed to foster a strong sense of belonging and collective identity. The creative experience, developed in collaboration with ANFRUA (Associação Nacional de Futebol de Rua), culminated in a wheat paste mural. This large-scale public work was built from collages produced during the workshop, based on photographic portraits that highlight the faces of local youth.
Context: Bairro Padre Cruz is the largest social housing neighborhood in the Iberian Peninsula. ANFRUA promotes social innovation through street football, combining inclusion and human development with cultural interventions.
Este projeto foi uma sessão de colagem com jovens residentes do Bairro Padre Cruz, Lisboa, concebida para fomentar um forte sentido de pertença e identidade coletiva. A experiência criativa, desenvolvida em colaboração com a ANFRUA (Associação Nacional de Futebol de Rua), culminou num mural de wheat paste. Esta obra pública de grande escala foi construída a partir de colagens produzidas no workshop, baseadas em retratos fotográficos que destacam os rostos da juventude local.
Contexto: O Bairro Padre Cruz é o maior bairro de habitação social da Península Ibérica. A ANFRUA promove a inovação social através do futebol de rua, combinando a inclusão e o desenvolvimento humano com intervenções culturais.
